math and/or reading skills and a desire to help students reach their full potential in a fast-paced team oriented environment. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students, college students, retired educators, and people who are seeking a second part-time job.

Qualifications:

Long-term commitment a MUST (minimum of 6 months, 1 year preferable, this is a year-round part-time job)
PREFERENCE
given to candidates with prior Kumon or tutoring experience and/or university degree in relevant field of study
Good instructional skills, an ability to observe, understand, and communicate with children
Ability to convey ideas and concepts in a simple and clear manner to children
Responsible, reliable, punctual, able to multi-task and follow directions
Math Assistant:
strong Math aptitude; High proficiency in algebra a MUST; Strength in calculus, trigonometry a plus
Reading Assistant:
strong proficiency in high school literature

Early Learner Assistant:

comfortable working with preschoolers

Responsibilities:

Grading homework assignments, Leading children with classwork, Preparing materials for classwork and homework, Clerical duties such as data entry and filing, Any other tasks may be required for the operation of the center
