Our educators work closely with students to strengthen core academic skills, build confidence, and prepare them for success in high school. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about helping middle school students thrive through individualized instruction tailored to each student's unique learning needs and academic goals. This is an excellent opportunity for certified middle school teachers, experienced educators, and qualified tutors who enjoy making a meaningful impact outside of the traditional classroom. About Prep Academy Tutors Prep Academy Tutors is a premium in-home tutoring company providing individualized academic support aligned with school curricula. We specialize in delivering high-quality, customized tutoring services that help students strengthen foundational skills, improve confidence, and achieve measurable academic success. Our Northern Los Angeles division is committed to supporting families with exceptional, relationship-focused educational services. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring for middle school students (Grades 6-8) Support students in core academic subjects, including Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies Assist with homework, study skills, executive functioning, organization, and test preparation Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs and academic goals Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to families Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment Travel to students' homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles area Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; teaching credential or advanced degree preferred Valid California teaching credential or equivalent is highly preferred Experience teaching or tutoring middle school students Strong knowledge of middle school curriculum and instructional best practices Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Reliable transportation Authorized to work in the United States What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Flexible scheduling based on your availability Ongoing professional support Meaningful, long-term relationships with students and families The opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' academic success Schedule & Availability Tutors create their own schedules based on availability and student demand.
