Job Overview We are seeking a passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a good background in various educational settings, a High School Student, College Graduate or someone that is passionate about teaching various students, both young adults and children. This role involves working closely with students of different ages and learning abilities to help them achieve their academic goals. The Tutor will utilize basic learning technology and effective communication skills to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Develop customized lesson plans that align with students' educational goals and learning styles. Utilize learning technology to enhance the tutoring experience and track student progress. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators regarding student performance and areas for improvement. Support students in various subjects, including but not limited to reading, writing, math, and science. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation. Assist in the development of study skills and strategies that promote independent learning. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance. At students home in a healthy family setting, provided by each student in the greater Glendale area; including but not limited to: Glendale, Burbank, La Cresenta or Tujunga Choosing students and homes that fit well with the tutor's commute, preferences and abilities will be considered and discussed between the Tutor and Tutoring Company. Requirements Experience working with children or students in an educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of early education principles is a plus. Familiarity with education practices is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students of all ages. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Proficiency in using learning technology tools for educational purposes. A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
