Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic AP Calculus AB & BC, Statistics Tutor to join our in-person tutoring team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students by delivering engaging, clear, and effective instruction in advanced mathematics and statistics. As a tutor, you will help students master complex concepts, improve their test-taking skills, and build confidence in their abilities. Your expertise will contribute to their academic success and foster a love for learning in a dynamic educational environment. Responsibilities Deliver personalized in-person tutoring sessions focused on AP Calculus AB & BC topics, including limits, derivatives, integrals, and differential equations, as well as AP Statistics concepts such as data analysis, probability, and statistical inference. Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and address individual student needs. Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences. Assess student progress regularly through formative assessments and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Prepare students for AP exams through targeted test preparation tutoring, including practice questions and review sessions. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by maintaining a positive learning environment and employing classroom management techniques suitable for teenagers. Collaborate with students to develop strong problem-solving skills in math and statistics disciplines such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and data analysis. Qualifications Proven experience teaching math at the high school or higher education level, particularly with teenagers or young adults. Strong knowledge of AP Calculus AB & BC topics and AP Statistics curriculum. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum materials and lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles. Proficiency with learning technology platforms and computer skills relevant to educational settings. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly. Experience working with students who have special educational needs or require additional support is preferred. Background in related fields such as science tutoring, chemistry (including organic chemistry), biology (microbiology, genetics), or engineering disciplines is a plus but not required. Pay:
