13-17 years old Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Tutoring/Test Prep Instructor to lead an engaging academic support program for students ages 6-17. This instructor will help students strengthen foundational academic skills, build confidence, develop effective study habits, and prepare for classroom assessments through age-appropriate instruction and activities. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and teens, communicates concepts clearly, and can create a positive learning environment that keeps students motivated and engaged. Responsibilities Provide tutoring and academic support to students ages 6-17. Assist students with strengthening skills in core academic subjects. Introduce age-appropriate test-taking strategies, study skills, and problem-solving techniques. Explain concepts in a clear, patient, and encouraging manner. Adapt instruction to accommodate different ages, skill levels, and learning needs. Prepare engaging lessons, practice activities, and review exercises. Encourage student participation, confidence, and academic growth. Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive learning environment. Track student participation and provide feedback as needed. Arrive on time and be prepared for each scheduled session. Qualifications Experience tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or working with school-aged children and teens preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain academic concepts in an engaging and easy-to-understand way. Patient, dependable, organized, and enthusiastic about helping students succeed. Comfortable working with students with varying academic abilities. Must be available for the scheduled program sessions.
