Singapore Math | Yearn 2 Learn Academy Yearn 2 Learn Academy is hiring a reliable, encouraging Math Tutor to work with students in kindergarten through 8th grade at our learning center in Lathrop. We use the S.A.M. Singapore Math approach, which builds strong number sense, problem-solving skills, and confidence through structured practice and guided discovery. This is a part-time, in-person W-2 employee position. We welcome both experienced tutors who can work independently and promising candidates who enjoy working with children and are ready to learn our curriculum. What you will do Guide students through individualized and small-group math instruction Explain concepts clearly and adjust your approach to each child's needs Monitor student work, accuracy, progress, and engagement Maintain a positive, organized learning environment Communicate observations to the center team and follow the S.A.M. teaching process Complete provided training and prepare for assigned lessons What we are looking for Strong understanding of elementary and middle-school math (K-8) Patient, dependable, and genuinely interested in helping children learn Able to manage several students working at different levels Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Lathrop College student, college graduate, or equivalent relevant experience Prior tutoring, teaching, classroom, after-school, childcare, or youth-program experience is preferred Teaching credentials are welcome but not required Schedule Part-time, approximately 10-15 hours per week, based on enrollment Availability needed during weekday after-school hours, generally between 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday availability between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. is strongly preferred Please state your specific weekday and Saturday availability when applying Pay $18.00
