Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic educational team as a part-time math, English, Spanish or science tutor, where you will inspire and empower students to achieve their academic goals. In person tutors are prefered for K-9. Zoom is possible for precalc and AP Calc. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing personalized instruction in mathematics and English language arts. As a grades 2-12 tutor, you will utilize innovative learning technologies and adapt your teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs, fostering confidence and academic success across various age groups and backgrounds. Tutors may designate their preferred grade levels. Duties Deliver engaging, individualized tutoring sessions in mathematics, science, and/or English language arts, tailored to each student Incorporate zoom when needed to enhance the learning experience Prepare students for standardized tests by teaching test-taking strategies and review techniques if needed (tutor may choose test prep) Homework coaching Foster a positive, encouraging environment that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and academic growth Skills Proven tutoring skills in mathematics, English language arts, science, or test preparation Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with middle or high school students (tutors my choose preferred age levels). Organizational skills Experience working with children, teenagers, or adult learners in educational contexts Knowledge of basic math, algebra 1 and/ or English Writing skills necessary for developing instructional materials and providing clear feedback Instructional adaptability to meet evolving student needs and educational standards Embark on a rewarding part-time journey where your expertise transforms lives through education!
Pay:
$54.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 25.0 per week
