Job Summary Job Summary AVID tutors work during the established AVID tutorial time to provide assistance to AVID students in the areas of ELA, mathematics, science and social studies. AVID tutors are provided training in the AVID tutorial process and work under the direction of the AVID teacher. AVID tutors work with identified groups of AVID students and use the tutorial process to help them develop a deeper understanding of the curriculum. AVID tutors communicate with the AVID teachers to provide feedback and information on student progress in the tutorial.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•College student.
•AVID tutors are required to be college tutors. AVID tutors must either be currently enrolled in college or have completed a semester/quarter of college within the last 6 months.
