Full Job Description We're Hiring:
STEM Tutors (In-Person)
Location:
Sorrento Valley, San Diego, CA Compensation:
$35/hr starting (part-time), with path to full-time and higher compensation The Role We need tutors for high school STEM. You'll work one-on-one with students, mostly afternoons and evenings. It's straightforward: help them understand the material, build their confidence, and actually improve their grades. What We Need From You Bachelor's degree (done) Fluency in at least one of these: Calculus, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology (ideally more than one) Available Sunday-Thursday, roughly 3pm-9pm weekdays Willing to commit to 10-20 hours per week Clear communicator—you can explain complex stuff simply Strong personal academic background Available to text/email with students and parents occasionally
Important:
We'll test your knowledge on upper-level material before you start. We need tutors who can actually handle the content students are wrestling with. We don't require tutoring experience. Some of our best tutors came from coaching, psychology, research, or other backgrounds.
