https://www.urbanimpactct.org/ Position Summary Urban Impact is seeking committed and motivated Academic Enrichment Coach to support students in grades K-8 during our academic enrichment program hours Tuesday through Thursdays (Some Mondays required). The Academic Enrichment Coach/Tutor will provide individualized and small-group academic assistance, focusing on homework help, skill-building, literacy support and study strategies. The Academic Enrichment Coach will collaborate with program leadership and Christian mentors to help students grow academically while also reinforcing positive character development. Key Responsibilities- Under the leadership of Academic Program Manager provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring in core academic subjects (reading, writing and math).
- Support homework completion, test preparation and skill-building aligned with each student's academic goals.
- Incorporate faith-based encouragement that emphasizes perseverance, integrity, self-discipline and confidence.
- Report to program leadership and assist with daily program operations, including opening and closing tasks.
- Collaborate with program staff and mentors to ensure students receive well-rounded support.
- Develop and lead engaging learning activities when students do not have assigned homework.
- Track student progress and provide weekly updates to program leadership.
- Submit an end-of-cycle impact report outlining academic improvement, engagement and areas of growth.
- Maintain a safe, positive environment that fosters respect, curiosity and active learning.
- Communicate student strengths, needs or concerns with the Program Manager when appropriate.
- Build and maintain supportive relationships with parents/guardians to update on academic Qualifications Candidates must:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Mathematics, Social Sciences or related field
- Bi-lingual Preferred.
- 3-5 years experience working with elementary and/or middle school students (highly preferred).
- Have classroom management or curriculum support experience (preferred).
- Child/Adult First Aid & CPR certification (preferred).
- Patience, empathy and the ability to encourage students who may be struggling academically.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt instruction to different learning styles.
- Demonstrate the ability to observe, assess and respond appropriately to student needs and behaviors.
- Understand safety regulations, emergency procedures and behavior-management practices.
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication, organization and relational skills.
- Be flexible, dependable, and capable of leading when needed.
- Demonstrate a nurturing, positive, faith-aligned approach to youth development.
- Have an energetic, outgoing, and service-driven personality.
- Work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Must meet all Urban Impact CT hiring requirements, including reference checks and any necessary clearances.
Pay:
$25.00- $28.
