Job Description
Parish Hill Middle/High School is seeking a knowledgeable, dedicated and enthusiastic Math Tutor to join our team. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for mathematics and a desire to help students achieve their academic goals. The Math Tutor will work with students of varying skill levels and grades, providing personalized instruction and support to enhance their understanding and confidence in math.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide one-on-one or small-group math instruction for middle and high school students.
- Support students with homework, classwork, test preparation, and long-term skill development.
- Identify areas of difficulty and develop individualized strategies to address learning gaps.
- Explain challenging concepts in clear, practical, and approachable ways.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage strong study habits, critical thinking skills, and confidence in mathematics.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and/or school staff as needed.
