Job Description

Position Overview Ellington Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and organized Part-Time Academic Tutor to support students at Ellington Middle School. The successful candidate will provide academic assistance for Grade 7 and Grade 8 mathematics . This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with middle school students and helping them achieve academic success.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will:
Have the ability to provide instructional support in middle school mathematics. Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills. Be able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment. Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with school-aged children or in an educational setting is preferred. As required by Connecticut law, the selected candidate must successfully complete a state and national criminal background check and a Department of Children and Families (DCF) records review prior to employment.

10:46-2:22pm This is an at-will, school-year position , with hours worked only on days when school is in session.
