September-June Compensation:

$2,400/month + 5 weeks paid school-year breaks Light of the World is a growing Christ-centered homeschool community in Wilton seeking a warm, confident and dependable educator to lead our mixed-age elementary group, approximately ages 5-9. We are looking for someone who loves children and teaching but is drawn to something more personal and creative than a traditional school environment. Our mornings blend academics, outdoor time, nature, art, hands-on projects, practical skills, Scripture and Christian faith in a small, relationship-centered setting. What You'll Do Lead our elementary group Monday-Wednesday, 8:30 AM-1:00 PM Guide reading, writing, math and thematic learning Incorporate nature, art and hands-on projects Lead simple prayer, Scripture and faith-based discussions Maintain a warm, structured classroom environment Build meaningful relationships with our children and families Our curriculum, daily rhythm and overall program structure are already established, while leaving room for you to bring your own creativity and gifts to the children. Meet You If You:

Have experience teaching, tutoring or homeschooling elementary-aged children Are warm, nurturing, reliable and confident leading a group Love outdoor and hands-on learning Are comfortable actively participating in a Christian learning environment Want to become a meaningful part of a close-knit homeschool community Experience with Waldorf, Montessori, classical education, microschools or alternative education is a plus, but not required. This could be an especially wonderful fit for a former teacher, homeschool educator, retired educator or mom returning to teaching who wants meaningful work with a family-friendly, part-time schedule. There is also opportunity to grow with Light of the World as our community expands.
