This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, creating positive learning experiences, and helping students strengthen both their academic skills and confidence. Our Coral Gables center primarily serves elementary-aged students (K-5) and provides personalized academic support in a structured, encouraging environment. We are looking for someone who can build strong connections with students, communicate professionally with families, and help create a classroom environment where every student feels supported, motivated, and capable of succeeding. Key Responsibilities Lead engaging small-group tutoring sessions with up to 4 students Provide instruction in Math and Reading using our structured curriculum and materials Create a positive, encouraging, and productive learning environment Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming tutoring center Open and close the center during assigned shifts Communicate professionally with parents regarding attendance, student progress, and academic needs Use positive reinforcement and effective classroom management strategies Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and strong learning habits Help students stay motivated and engaged throughout each session What We're Looking For Fluent or conversational Spanish speaker strongly preferred Enjoys working with elementary-aged children Patient, energetic, and encouraging Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, organized, and able to work independently Comfortable supporting students with different academic needs and learning styles Professional and positive attitude Available to begin within 1-2 weeks Lives near Coral Gables or is willing to work at other Amigos Tutoring locations when needed Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, childcare, psychology, or education is a plus — but not required What We Offer Paid training and ongoing support Structured curriculum and materials provided No lesson planning or grading required Opportunities for advancement and leadership development Positive, supportive, and family-oriented work environment Valuable experience in education, child development, psychology, and mentorship The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students and families in the community Why Amigos Tutoring?
