This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children, creating positive learning experiences, and helping students build both academic skills and self-confidence. Our Coral Gables center primarily serves elementary-aged students (K-5) and focuses on providing personalized academic support in a structured, encouraging environment. We are seeking someone who can connect with students, communicate effectively with families, and help create a classroom culture where every child feels supported and motivated to succeed. Key Responsibilities Lead small-group tutoring sessions with up to 4 students Provide instruction in math and reading using our structured curriculum and materials Create a positive, engaging, and productive learning environment Maintain an organized, welcoming, and student-focused classroom Open and close the tutoring center during assigned shifts Communicate professionally with parents regarding attendance, progress, and student needs Support students through positive reinforcement and effective classroom management strategies Encourage student confidence, independence, and academic growth What We're Looking For Fluent or conversational Spanish speaker strongly preferred Comfortable working with elementary-aged students and supporting diverse learning needs Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Dependable, organized, and able to work independently Patient, energetic, and committed to student success Available to begin within 1-2 weeks Lives near Coral Gables or is willing to work at other Amigos Tutoring locations as needed Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, childcare, or educational experience is a plus, but not required What We Offer Paid training and ongoing support A structured curriculum with all materials provided No lesson planning or grading required Opportunities for advancement and leadership development A positive, family-oriented work environment Meaningful experience in education, child development, psychology, and mentorship The opportunity to make a lasting impact on students and families throughout the community Why Amigos Tutoring?
