Position Type:
Part-Time, In-Person Position Overview A private family in Coral Gables, FL is seeking an experienced Part-Time Private Tutor to provide after-school academic support for their 10-year-old daughter. The Tutor will work one-on-one with the student across all core academic subjects, helping with homework, reinforcing classroom material, and supporting strong study habits and overall academic development. The ideal candidate has a strong educational and teaching background, previous experience working with UHNW families, and the ability to make learning engaging and productive. The Tutor will work directly with the child while maintaining clear communication with the parents and coordinating closely with the family's Nannies. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring across all core academic subjects Assist with homework, assignments, projects, and test preparation Review schoolwork and reinforce concepts that require additional attention Identify academic strengths and areas where additional support may be beneficial Develop effective study habits, organization, and time-management skills Create engaging and age-appropriate learning activities Help the student remain organized and prepared for upcoming assignments and exams Communicate regularly with the parents regarding progress and academic needs Coordinate schedules and day-to-day logistics with the family's Nannies Maintain a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment Requirements Previous professional tutoring or teaching experience required Previous experience working with UHNW families/private households strongly preferred Strong knowledge across elementary-level academic subjects Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred, ideally in Education or a related field Strong understanding of age-appropriate teaching and learning strategies Engaging, patient, encouraging, and able to build a positive relationship with the student Excellent communication and organizational skills Comfortable collaborating with parents, Nannies, and other household staff Professional, polished, punctual, and discreet Excellent professional references Valid U.S. work authorization SSIN456
