The student is in 11th grade at Sun Coast High School. He managed a B in pre-calculus but it was a lot of work. He's getting ready for SATs and having a hard time keeping up with calculus. He's guessing a lot on his homework and taking a lot of effort to study and learn concepts. He knows he does best with practice problems, but needs someone who can write out the steps and show him step by step how to do the problems, then guide him while he does the problems, and give him support while he practices until he understands the process. The student's goal is to improve his understanding of calculus concepts and have an easier time of completing homework and studying for tests. The family is seeking 1-hour sessions once a week during their available times. They are available Mon & Wed & Fri 5pm-8pm, Sat 10am-8pm, and Sun 1pm-5pm. The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Loxahatchee not far from Golden Grove Elementary. Qualifications Ideal candidates will have experience teaching/tutoring high school students. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching/tutoring AP Calculus. Ideal candidates will have a teaching certification. You are willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles).
