Job Description
Math Instructor - Mathnasium (Oviedo) We are hiring a Math Instructor in Oviedo to join our team and help students build confidence, skills, and a strong foundation in math. This is an ideal role for individuals who enjoy working with kids and want to make a meaningful impact in a positive, high-energy learning environment. At Mathnasium, we teach math in a way that makes sense to students —and we'll train you on everything you need to succeed. Quick Role Summary As a Math Instructor , you will work directly with students of varying ages and skill levels, delivering personalized instruction using the Mathnasium Method. You will create an engaging and supportive environment where students feel confident, motivated, and successful. This role focuses on instruction, student engagement, and building strong relationships with families and team members. What We Offer $14-16 hourly rate Part-time position with flexible scheduling Paid training on the Mathnasium Method Opportunities for Growth and Leadership Development across multiple centers Supportive, team-oriented environment What You Will Do Teach students using the Mathnasium Method (no lesson planning required) Provide clear, concise, and engaging math instruction Build student confidence through encouragement and positive reinforcement Create a fun, welcoming, and productive learning environment Support students across a range of math levels (elementary through high school) Track student progress and communicate with the team as needed Assist with maintaining a clean and organized learning space Deliver a high level of customer experience to students and families Core Responsibilities Student Instruction & Engagement Confidence Building & Motivation Learning Environment Support Team Collaboration Requirements Essential Skills & Qualifications Strong math skills (up to Algebra required) Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students Positive, energetic, and patient personality Ability to build rapport with students and families Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to follow a structured instructional method High School diploma or G.E.D. required; some college preferred Experience working with children is a plus (but not required) Schedule & Availability This is a part-time Instructor position.
Typical hours include:
