Job Description
Job Overview Sylvan Learning of Riverview is hiring a part-time math tutor to work with middle and high school students. You will teach small groups of students, each working through their own individualized learning plan. Lessons and materials are provided through our digital instruction platform, so your time goes into teaching rather than lesson prep. Training is provided, including certification in our SAT and ACT prep program. The schedule is consistent week to week: Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM, plus every other Saturday, 9 AM-1 PM. There is opportunity for growth into a leadership role for the right person. Duties Teach math to small groups of up to four students, following each student's assigned learning plan Deliver instruction using our digital curriculum platform Explain concepts in multiple ways until students understand them Review completed work with students, correct errors, and reteach as needed Keep students engaged and motivated throughout the session
