Hiring compensation range: $14.42 to $15.37 depending on qualifications.Job Summary:
The Part Time Professional Academic Writing Tutor provides high-quality academic support to a diverse student population at the Dale Mabry Campus Academic Success Center. This role focuses on enhancing students' written communication skills, critical thinking, and independent learning. The tutor conducts individual and small group learning sessions both in-person and online. Additionally, the position is responsible for contributing to workshop curriculum development and participating in ongoing professional development initiatives to ensure alignment with college-wide academic standards.Job Duties:
Facilitating 1:1 tutoring sessions in person and online with students of all ability levels and disciplines to improve drafting, revision, and organizational skills. Enhance students understanding of the assignments, develop research strategies, and integrate scholarly sources effectively. Assist with grammar, sentence structure, and specialized citation styles, including MLA, APA and Chicago. Participate and collaborate to design and lead workshops and create instructional materials. Provide guidance and/or training to tutors to maintain the ASC's standards of high quality professional tutoring. Maintain accurate records of sessions through session reports within out scheduling and tracking software. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree and two years of prior related work experience.Preferred Qualifications:
