Job Description

Bring Your Experience Beyond the Classroom Bee the Change is seeking experienced education professionals to work one-on-one with students and families throughout Wesley Chapel and nearby communities. This is a part-time, independent contractor opportunity designed for seasoned educators looking to put their experience to work in a more personalized setting. What Tutoring With Us Looks Like Our tutors work directly with students in their homes, providing individualized academic instruction based on each student's goals, abilities, and learning style. Students span different ages, grade levels, and academic needs. Some need support mastering a particular subject. Others may be working through learning challenges or differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, executive functioning needs, or IEP/504 goals. Depending on your expertise, you may support students with foundational skills, core academic subjects, homework and coursework, study strategies, organization, or more advanced material. What You'll Be Doing Deliver personalized, one-on-one instruction in students' homes Identify where a student needs additional support and adjust your approach accordingly Break down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps Reinforce academic skills while encouraging confidence and independence Establish productive, supportive relationships with students and their families Provide consistent communication and maintain reliable scheduling Travel to tutoring assignments throughout the Wesley Chapel area What We Need From You We're looking for established education professionals who bring significant experience and are comfortable taking ownership of the one-on-one learning environment. To be considered, you must have: At least 10 years of professional teaching and/or tutoring experience Experience providing direct academic instruction to students Expertise in one or more subjects and/or grade levels The ability to tailor instruction to the needs of an individual learner Strong interpersonal and communication skills A patient, dependable, and professional approach Reliable transportation The ability and willingness to travel to students' homes for 100% of tutoring sessions A bachelor's degree is preferred, and Florida teaching certification is valued but not required for every opportunity.
Our Approach:
Built Around the Right Match We don't believe every tutor is right for every student. When opportunities become available, we consider your experience, academic strengths, preferred grade levels, location, and availability to identify potential matches. You maintain the flexibility to take on assignments that work with your schedule and expertise. Compensation $50/hour for general academic tutoring Higher rates may apply to select specialized tutoring opportunities. This is a part-time, independent contractor (1099) position. Tutoring is conducted exclusively in person. This is not a remote or virtual tutoring role. Interested in Joining Us?
