  • $40 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Teaching physics Student performance assessment strategies Early childhood education Special education Working with high schoolers Organizational skills Collaborative teaching Communication skills Teaching Entry level Full Job Description Seeking tutors with experience to work with High school student after school between the days of Monday through Friday after 4 pm in the afternoons or evenings, or weekends.
Duties:
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to student taking IB Physics course
  • Assess students' academic needs and develop goals to address their specific areas of improvement
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies and resources to enhance students' understanding and engagement
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other educational professionals to support students' learning goals
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents/guardians, and other educational professionals
  • Excellent organizational skills to plan sessions and track student progress
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust teaching methods based on individual student needs and learning styles
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically
Note:
Experience working with children in early childhood education, adult education, or special education settings is highly desirable. Experience tutoring or teaching required.
