Social Emotional Learning AOC Columbus, GA Job Details Part-time $15 - $17 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Tutoring Personal service experience with children Inclusivity Teaching experience with students with various learning styles Working with students Full Job Description Are you passionate about supporting students who need extra academic and emotional support in a creative, learner-centered environment? We're looking for a compassionate and skilled SEL program lead to work with learners who benefit from additional help with focus, emotional regulation, and academic tasks. Available part-time during school hours (20 -25 hrs per week)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 academic emotional support Assist learners in staying emotionally regulated and engaged and on-task during lessons and rotations Support students with behavior needs using redirection, regulation strategies, and positive reinforcement Collaborate with lead teachers to adapt and reinforce instructional materials Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment Document student progress and communicate insights to the teaching team and families Lead a new implementation SEL hour program amongst a group of students K-8th. SEL program consists of creativity and engaging content that allows students to gravitate towards understanding their social and emotional cues.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children in academic or behavioral support roles (RBT, paraprofessional, special education aide, or tutoring background a plus) Skilled in behavior management and supporting diverse learning styles Patient, encouraging, and culturally responsive Comfortable working in a small, mixed-age learning environment Available part-time during school hours (20-25 hrs per week) This is a part-time position
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
