Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-person tutoring sessions tailored to the student's academic needs and learning objectives Provide instruction and support in ELA and Math while reinforcing foundational academic skills Create engaging lessons that encourage active participation, comprehension, and academic growth Adapt teaching methods and materials to align with the student's learning pace and progress Develop and utilize supplemental learning resources to strengthen retention and understanding Monitor student performance and adjust instruction as needed to support continued improvement Foster a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment Maintain regular communication with the tutoring coordinator regarding student progress, attendance, and scheduling updates Travel to the designated tutoring location and arrive prepared for each session Commit to the agreed tutoring schedule and maintain consistency in attendance
Schedule:
Approximately 2 hours per week Preferred availability: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM Open availability on Saturdays and Sundays is a plus
Qualifications:
Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or educational support preferred Strong understanding of elementary-level ELA and Math concepts Ability to explain academic concepts clearly and effectively in a one-on-one setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Organized, dependable, and able to work independently Patient and adaptable when addressing varying learning styles Reliable transportation for in-person tutoring assignments Commitment to maintaining professionalism and consistency
