Tutor at HI IQ Learning HI IQ Learning is a locally owned company dedicated to nurturing student success through personalized tutoring. We are currently hiring a passionate and dependable tutor to join our team! If you're a warm, engaging educator who can adapt to diverse learning styles, we'd love to hear from you. Position Overview and Responsibilities We are hiring a part-time tutor who can capably tutor core subjects for grades 5-7 and has experience with neurodivergent students. The tutor must be available 12.5 hours per week for 1:1 sessions and be able to commute to the student's residence.

Provide engaging, personalized 1:1 instruction to the student. Arrive prepared and on time for all sessions. Adapt tutoring techniques to meet student's individual needs and learning styles. Support student's current schoolwork and supplement with additional resources as needed. Use provided materials to create fun, educational games to enhance learning. Submit accurate session reports promptly. Communicate effectively with students and parents to foster trust and confidence. Collaborate with the HI IQ team to ensure alignment with student goals and curriculum. Qualifications To ensure success in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements: Proficiency in tutoring 5th-7th grade core subjects. Experience working with neurodivergent students (e.g. autism spectrum, ADHD, etc.) Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching with exposure to different learning styles (formal or informal). Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students and parents. Reliable transportation and punctuality for sessions. Must have a consistent weekly availability consisting of 12.5 hours per week. Demonstrates consistency, reliability, and a strong commitment to students, with a preference for candidates willing to establish long-term tutoring relationships. Willingness to complete a criminal background check and provide professional references. Work Conditions This is an in-person, part-time position with flexible hours (12.5 hours per week + prep time) Sessions take place at student's home.
