After School Tutor Gr K-4 Huntington Learning Center - 3.6 West Des Moines, IA Job Details Part-time 5 hours ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description We are looking for talented professionals who will help students in grades K-4 achieve self-confidence, motivation, and academic success. Our programs support students in closing the COVID gap, re-engaging in their education, and moving to the front of the class academically. We offer our families programs in reading, phonics, and writing; math and sciences; and study skills. We also support students with ADHD and/or an IEP/504 plan. After a paid training period to learn our methods, you will spend your time teaching and making a difference in children's lives. We provide the curriculum and develop individualized programs for each student. There are no lesson plans to create or homework assignments to grade, just teaching and helping each child grow!
The Opportunity:
Work with students in a 1 to 1 setting. Focus on reading, writing, phonics, vocabulary, and math. Flexible, part-time hours weekdays after school.
Teaching Hours:
Flexible schedule; students are in center Monday - Thursday 2pm-6pm.
Requirements Include:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college required. Experience teaching younger students highly desired. Must be a caring professional committed to helping children learn and grow!
