Job Description

Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking an ELL Tutor for the Multilingual Learning Division. This position is a full time 10 month position.

Description:
The ELL Tutor position for the Multilingual Learning Division is a full-time, 10-month, Support Staff position. The ELL Tutor must have the ability to work with multilingual learners with emerging English proficiency in ELD tutorial classes, mathematics classes, and other content area settings; identify additional learning resources to support content-based language acquisition; maintain contact with classroom teachers, Student Support Team, and Division Director and Assistant Director regarding students' needs/progress.
Qualifications:
ISBE licensure is required Must have a paraprofessional (PARA), Substitute (SUB), or a Professional Educator License (PEL) PEL with Social Studies, CommArts or Science endorsement(s) preferred High school teaching experience also preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills (oral and written) Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Ability to work effectively with all members of the Stevenson community, including students, staff members, and parents Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional discretion Strong organizational and record keeping skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently Knowledge of computer hardware & software (word processing, spreadsheets, electronic calendars, electronic mail, etc.) Ability to work effectively with various software platforms (Google Suite, Infinite Campus, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Tableau, etc.)
Salary:
SSSA Agreement (all support staff positions at Stevenson High School shall be paid no less than $17.75/hour). The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.
