Job description: At The Tutoring Center, we are committed to helping each student reach his or her potential by delivering customized instruction focused on the individual student. The Tutoring Center Academic Instructors are an essential part of our team. We are looking for motivated, professional, and knowledgeable individuals who enjoy working with students and helping them build confidence and achieve academic success. Academic Instructors work with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade , providing individualized instruction based on each student's specific academic needs. We are currently hiring for part-time Academic Instructor positions , with a strong preference for candidates who have a high level of proficiency in mathematics. Our primary tutoring hours are Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM-7:30 PM . Instructors do not necessarily need to be available for the entire time, but consistent availability within these hours is preferred. Focus on Individual Students. Work with students one-on-one or in small groups and provide instruction tailored to their individual academic needs. Opportunity to Make an Impact. The ideal candidate will:
Have your own reliable transportation (car) Be available during weekday afternoon and evening hours, particularly Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM-7:30 PM Be comfortable working with students ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade Have strong academic skills, with strong mathematics skills preferred Be comfortable teaching subjects such as elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and other high school-level mathematics Have experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or working with children or teenagers Be patient, encouraging, professional, and able to build positive relationships with students Be able to explain concepts clearly and adapt instruction to different learning styles and ability levels Be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a structured tutoring environment Be currently attending or have graduated from a college or university with strong academic performance
