Terms of Employment:

Responsible to: Asst Superintendent of Special Services or designee

Compensation:

$44.00 per hour

Schedule:

The schedule is variable based upon the needs of the students

Benefits:

This position is not eligible for benefits or paid leave

Qualifications:

Hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

High school endorsements are preferred

Content are endorsements are required for tutoring in Honors and/or AP courses

The license must be registered in McHenry County

Ability to stimulate students to actively participate in the learning process

Ability to work closely with other staff members

Responsibilities:

Provide assigned homebound tutoring services to 9-12 grade students in various subjects as needed

Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices

Perform other relevant duties as assigned Physical Requirements Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time

Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed)

Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials

Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting
