Now Hiring:
Academic Coach (Part-Time) - Learning Linx, Inc. McHenry, IL Learning Linx, Inc. is looking for a dedicated Academic Coach/Private Tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence, independence, and academic success through individualized support. Position Overview This Part-Time Academic Coach/Tutor role involves providing one-on-one academic and executive functioning support to students in grades Pre-K through high school. Sessions focus on strengthening skills in reading, writing, math, organization, time management, and study strategies. The ideal candidate has experience working with students with ADHD, learning differences, and/or IEP/504 plans, and is comfortable adapting instruction to meet a wide range of learning needs. This is a hands-on, student-facing role within a collaborative, supportive clinical and educational environment.
Schedule Part-time:
approx. 10-20 hours per pay period Evening hours during the school year: after 3:30pm Flexible scheduling based on student needs Compensation Starting at $20/hour+ , based on experience Responsibilities Provide 1:1 academic coaching/intervention and tutoring sessions Support students with executive functioning skills (organization, planning, study skills) Implement individualized strategies based on student needs Build strong, positive relationships with students and families Track session progress and complete brief session notes Collaborate with parents, educators, and other providers when needed Qualifications Experience working with children (REQUIRED) ADHD and/or Special Education (SPED) experience preferred Background in education, psychology, or related field (preferred but not required) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, engaging, and enthusiastic approach to learning Ability to work independently and as part of a team About Learning Linx Learning Linx, Inc. provides integrated academic and therapeutic support for children ages 1-18.
