Summary:
The Institute for Achievement and Learning is looking for an in-person Aviation and Business tutor. This position requires that the candidate has a master's degree, is proficient in the area of aviation and aeronautics. Lynn's aviation program is listed under the School of Business, further experience in areas of accounting, economics and business management is preferred but not required. Essential duties and responsibilities Access latest weekly tutoring schedule to determine names of students and subjects to be tutored. Determine subject instructors. Check Accommodate and Canvas websites of individual subjects to determine what material will be covered in class. Use subject material and develop strategies needed to assist student. At the end of the tutoring session, enter tutoring session data on the IAL database. Work with students' academic coach for additional information on student to assist in tutoring. Correspond with students via phone, text and e-mail and Zoom if necessary. Attend monthly tutor meetings to discuss specific student issues and for the latest training. At the request of the Tutoring Center Director or Coordinator, make additional calls. When necessary, act as a reader/scribe. When necessary, act as a proctor in the Testing Center. Study additional subject material to stay ahead of students. Enhance tutoring ability by learning additional subjects Required knowledge, skills, and abilities Accounting, economics, business management, aviation and aeronautics.
