Job Description

The Clearport Learning Center is an after school program for high school students that focuses on teen empowerment through tutoring, mentoring, and career development. The Clearport Learning Center is looking to hire part-time tutors for the 2023-24 school year. Tutors must be energetic, reliable, and love to work with high school students. Experience with tutoring preferred. Some College Required. Must provide transcript. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge/skill level in high school Math and Sciences. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: o Small group tutoring during 3 hour- long sessions o Provide mentor-ship through goal setting and counseling o Create and lead special interest courses or groups based on student input o Assist with maintenance of program through committee leadership, organizing and cleaning o Supervise students when in the building o Must follow and execute company procedures and guidelines. o Attend staff meetings o Create a culture of learning with student centered hands on experiences o Promote and assist with community events Hours are from Monday - Thursday 2:45- 7, Friday 2:45-6 You must be able to work the entire shift for you to be available for that day. Please list your major and potential graduation date. (Ex. Accounting, May 2027)
