Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides intrusive academic and tutorial support in designated courses to participants through one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions. Provides mentoring and motivational support to participants. Assists participants with developing the essential study skills for academic success. Learning sessions may be held virtually at the Academic Success Center or an on-campus location designated by the Associate Director for Academic Success. Maintains accurate records of learning sessions. Serves as a role model for all students seeking academic assistance. Be punctual for all scheduled learning sessions. Prepares supplemental materials. Helps procure and organize teaching materials. Attends tutor training sessions regularly and scheduled staff meetings. Performs any other related duties as required or assigned to achieve project goals and objectives.
Required Education :
At least 2 years of undergraduate studies. Must attach a copy of transcript(s).
Required Experience :
Must have earned a B or higher in the subject(s) to work in. Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study.
Preferred Education :
Associate or advanced degree
Preferred Experience :
Tutoring and/or teaching experience. Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
