Description Part-time No Benefits $56.69/hour
Hours:
15 per week - 30 week program (Sept. 21, 2026-May 7, 2027) District-based, Itinerant/multiple schools (grades 9-12) Reports to EL Program Coordinator Responsibilities 1. Support Multilingual/English learners individually, in small groups, and in the general education classroom 2. Co-plan with English language/ESL and core academic teachers to develop lesson activities that facilitate acquisition of social and academic English, proficiency in US school culture, numeracy skills, and grade-level curricula 3. Work with English language/ESL teacher(s) to provide appropriate adjustments of the child's regular classroom assignments, assessments, and homework with respect to levels of English language proficiency and academic experience45.0456.69 4. Provide assistance with homework and study skills Qualifications Minimum of 4-year college degree and teaching/tutoring experience Fluency in a World Language and demonstration of cultural proficiency preferred Knowledge of or experience working with Multilingual learners/English learners preferred Preferred certification as Teacher of English as a Second Language, Bilingual Education (Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese), General Education with SEI endorsement or Reading specialist with SEI endorsement preferred Supplemental Information This position is dependent upon grant funding.
