POSITION
ESL Tutor2026-2027 School YearShrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for an ESLTutor at Oak Middle School. This temporary assignment will last for the 2026-2027 school year. We seek culturally responsive candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of multilingual learners in and beyond the classroom.

The ESL Tutor works collaboratively with the team teachers and the building ESLteacher(s) to support language development and content learning for students identified as English learners.

This is an in-person, para-educator position working 30 hours per week. The current rate for this position is $26.61 - $31.49 per hour, based on experience. Candidates with diverse racial, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender backgroundand experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting language development and literacy skills through small group instructionReinforcing classroom instructionRe-teaching skillsAssisting content teachers to modify and differentiate instruction for EL students
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Bachelors Degree or above, or equivalent work/military experienceExhibits the values of Shrewsbury Public SchoolsWorks flexibly and collaboratively in a changing environmentExperience working with middle school multilingual learners with diverse backgrounds and experiences
