Immediately Job Description Dorchester County Public Schools is accepting applications for Home Hospital / External Educational Service Tutors for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The Home and Hospital Instruction Program provides instructional services to students who are unable to participate in their school of enrollment for those reasons set forth in the Annotated Code of Maryland, Education Article, as well as State Board of Education bylaw (COMAR), or who are not attending school due to disciplinary issues/reportable offenses.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of DCPS curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, DCPS policies, and effective instructional practices. Understands the teaching/learning process. Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education. Ability to infuse technology into curriculum. Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school-based staff, students, parents, and community. Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
