Current Tutoring Needs We are especially interested in tutors with experience in: Elementary reading, writing, and math Special education and differentiated instruction Middle and high school English, math, science, and social studies Executive functioning, organization, and study skills SAT, ACT, HSPT, ISEE, and other test preparation Spanish and other world languages Advanced high school and college-level coursework Responsibilities As a Total Tutoring Services tutor, you will: Provide personalized, engaging instruction based on each student's goals, needs, and learning style Identify skill gaps and select effective instructional strategies Build positive relationships that help students feel supported, capable, and motivated Prepare for sessions and adjust instruction as students' needs evolve Communicate professionally with families and the Total Tutoring Services team Complete brief, timely session notes using our online system Maintain a dependable and consistent schedule with assigned students Travel to students' homes or meet them at local libraries, depending on each family's preference Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher At least two years of classroom teaching, tutoring, or related educational experience Current or previously held state teaching certification is strongly preferred but not required Strong knowledge of one or more grade levels or subject areas Patient, encouraging, and skilled at building student confidence Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, professional, and committed to consistent follow-through Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to in-person sessions Availability for approximately 2-10 hours per week during the school year Join Our Team At Total Tutoring Services, your knowledge, experience, and commitment to students will be recognized and appreciated.
