A Tutor works with students who need additional help or review. Provides instruction in an academic subject, or reviews a particular class lesson, or assists with preparing for a test. Works with students one-on-one or in a small group, and usually meets with students outside of school.

Our growing center is looking for an enthusiastic Math Tutor who is especially comfortable teaching high school mathematics, including Algebra II, Precalculus, and beyond. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves math, enjoys working with students, and can make challenging concepts feel understandable—and even fun!
What You'll Do:
Teach students using Mathnasium's proven methodology and terminology Work with students from elementary through high school, with a particular focus on Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, and higher-level mathematics Help students understand why math works rather than simply memorize procedures Actively encourage, motivate, and engage students in their learning Move comfortably between multiple students and skill levels in a fast-paced, energetic environment Evaluate and document student progress Communicate student needs and progress to center leadership and instructional staff Interact with students, parents, and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner Assist with occasional non-teaching responsibilities such as curriculum preparation, administrative tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized center Our Successful Tutors are: Comfortable explaining high school math concepts clearly to students with different learning styles and skill levels Encouraging and patient with students who may not always feel confident in math Able to move easily from one student to another while maintaining a positive learning environment Dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a team Friendly and professional when interacting with students, parents, and coworkers A sense of humor and a warm personality are definitely a plus! Teaching or tutoring experience is helpful, but we're also interested in strong math students, high school / college students, recent graduates, and professionals who have a genuine passion for helping young people learn. Compensation & Schedule:
$22 / hour to start This is a part-time position with the potential for significantly more hours and additional leadership opportunities for the right candidate as our center continues to grow.

2:30 PM-7:30
PM Sunday:
