Job Description

Title I Hourly Tutor Arcadia Elementary 27 hours per week Scope of Responsibilities The Hourly Title I Tutor, under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher, tutors identified students, on an "as
  • needed" basis, as determined by student assessment and identified needs, utilizing a flexible schedule, and at varying times throughout the school year.
Minimum Qualifications 1. Must have a high school diploma or accredited equivalency, and at least one of the following Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) qualifications: a. Two years of study (at least 60 credit hours) at an institution of higher education; b. ACT Work Keys Assessment with a passing score in all three areas, Reading
  • level 4, Mathematics
  • level 4, Writing
  • level 3 c.
Basic Skills Test of the Michigan Teacher for Certification with passing scores; or d. Education Testing Service (ETS) Paraprofessional Assessment with a passing level of 460. 2. Technology skills to support online testing. 3. Ability to communicate clearly and express ideas. 4. Ability to develop rapport with students. 5. Ability to follow instructions given by the classroom teacher. 6. Ability to follow policies and procedures in a secure setting. 7. Complete and submit biweekly time sheets. Maintain work activity logs. 8. Complete and submit Time and Effort Reports (i.e., Monthly Federal Certification Forms and Personnel Activity Reports or Semi-Annual Certification Forms) as required for any personnel fully or partially funded with federal funds.
