19 hours or less per week

General Definition of Work:

Provide instruction to students in small groups and individually

Qualification Requirements:

Minimum of 48 hours of college level coursework

Teaching licensure (Current or Expired) to receive higher rate of pay

Minimum of three years' experience as a classroom teacher is preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of research-based, current curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

General Knowledge of daily routines of the classroom.

General knowledge of student handbook rules.

General knowledge of procedures to follow in the event of an emergency.

General knowledge of the curriculum for the grade.

Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Ability to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students, particularly when student is participating in an inclusive activity.

Ability to motivate students.

Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment.

Ability to operate common office machines.

Ability to maintain basic files and records.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.

Essential Functions:

Develop and implement high-quality tutoring experiences for students that include assessing students' individual needs, providing individual and small group instruction to students based on those needs, and supporting the use of digital tools during tutoring sessions.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to determine specific student needs.

Communicate and collaborate with the staff about student progress.

Physical Requirements:

Due to amount of time spent standing and/or walking, physical requirements are consistent with those for Light Work.
