Job Description
Academic Enrichment Specialist Beginning September 2026. Assist elementary school students at Leicester Elementary School with homework, Mondays through Thursdays after school from approximately 2:30-5:30, in groups of around 10-15 students. Develop academic enrichment activities for students when they don't have homework (i.e., reading books, playing math games, etc.). Assist in musical performances as scheduled. Participate in regular staff meetings of 1 hour every two weeks (Monday evenings, 5:30-6:30). Position includes 1 hour paid planning time per week. Must either be already certified in child first aid and CPR or complete training within 30 days of beginning work. Background check required. Pay starts at $20 per hour and is commensurate with experience and education. MusicWorks Asheville is an El Sistema inspired program that teaches life skills to students through music.
