Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Orton-Gillingham Certified Tutor to join our team immediately. You must have a structured literacy certification. Please do not apply if you are not certified by IMSLEC, OGA, ALTA, IDA, WRS, IMSE, etc. In this role, you will provide specialized, evidence-based literacy instruction to students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities. Your expertise will help foster confidence and independence in learners by delivering individualized, structured lessons that align with the Orton-Gillingham approach. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives through dynamic teaching and curriculum development. Responsibilities Be comfortable working with older student populations Deliver personalized, multisensory Orton-Gillingham instruction tailored to each student's unique learning profile Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional methods accordingly to maximize learning outcomes Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to ensure consistent and comprehensive educational support Maintain detailed records of student progress, lesson plans, and instructional modifications in compliance with best practices in literacy education Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love of learning Skills Proven experience working with students with disabilities and implementing individualized instructions Strong background in structured literacy education, including phonics, decoding, comprehension, and writing skills Excellent lesson planning skills combined with the ability to modify teaching strategies based on student progress Join us in empowering students through innovative literacy instruction! Pay:
$60.00 - $65.00 per hour
