Tutor Wanted - All Subjects & Levels (Chester, NJ) The Chester Learning Lounge is opening a brand-new tutoring center in Chester, NJ, and we're building a team of outstanding tutors to help launch it. We're aiming to open by October 1st and are looking for passionate educators who want flexible, part-time hours making a real difference in students' lives. About the Role We're hiring tutors across a wide range of subjects and skill levels, including: K-12 core subjects (math, reading, writing, science, etc.) SAT/ACT test prep AP courses (any subject) College admissions guidance (essays, applications, strategy) Financial literacy for teens and young adults You don't need to cover all of these — we're building a team, so we welcome specialists in any one area as well as tutors who can cover multiple subjects. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring tailored to each student's needs Track student progress and communicate updates with parents/guardians Prepare lesson materials and practice problems as needed Create a supportive, encouraging learning environment Collaborate with our team to help students meet their academic goals Qualifications Strong knowledge of your subject area(s); teaching certification, tutoring experience, or subject-matter expertise preferred (e.g., current/former teachers, college students, graduate students, industry professionals) Experience with SAT/ACT prep, AP curricula, or college admissions counseling a plus for those roles Excellent communication skills and patience working with K-12 students Reliable, punctual, and passionate about helping kids succeed Background check required Schedule & Compensation Flexible part-time hours (afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends) Competitive pay based on subject and experience Great opportunity for teachers, grad students, or professionals looking for extra income

$25.00 - $50.00 per hour
