Anchor Literacy & Learning is a specialized tutoring center dedicated to supporting students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We provide structured, research-based literacy instruction in a supportive and engaging environment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Wilson Reading System and/or Orton-Gillingham certified tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to helping students become confident, skilled readers through structured literacy instruction.
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized, multisensory reading instruction using Wilson and/or Orton-Gillingham approaches Plan and implement engaging, structured lessons tailored to student needs Monitor student progress and maintain accurate session notes Communicate effectively with families and team members Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment
Qualifications:
Wilson Certification (Level I or II) and/or Orton-Gillingham Certification required Experience working with students with dyslexia or learning disabilities Strong understanding of structured literacy principles Excellent communication and organizational skills Passion for helping struggling readers succeed
Preferred:
Teaching certification or background in education Experience with progress monitoring and diagnostic teaching Availability for after-school and/or weekend sessions
