None Category Student Description Primary contact: Jonathan Lujan, SIL Coordinator jonathanlujan@nmhu.edu The SI Leader is a peer academic support role that provides regularly scheduled, out-of-class study sessions for students enrolled in historically challenging STEM courses. SI Leaders attend the target course alongside enrolled students, model effective study strategies, and facilitate collaborative session s that reinforce course content ans build students; independent learning skills. Qualifications Currently enrolled NMHU Student in good academic standing Earned an A or B in the target course (or equivalent, as approved by the SI Coordinator) Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Reliable, responsible, and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule Prior tutoring or leadership helpful but not required
