Have at least 12 hours of undergraduate work with an earned overall college grade point average of at least 3.0 ( transcripts must be submitted ) Have earned B or higher in the subject applying to tutor Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills while working with students from varied backgrounds and skill levels Demonstrate knowledge of effective study skills and strategies during interview and tutoring sessions Having previous tutorial experience in subject matter is a definite plus Provide a recommendation from a faculty member that teaches the subject you wish to tutorWORK HOUR REQUIREMENTS
The maximum amount of hours a tutor can work in the Centers is 20 hours per week. If you are also employed at another department at CSN or any other Nevada State Higher Education Institution, your hours will be combined and you cannot exceed 29 hours at both locations per weekSALARY:
