Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, individualized tutoring sessions across various subjects, including math, science, English language arts, and test preparation such as SATs. Develop and adapt curriculum plans that align with each student's unique learning styles and educational needs. Utilize learning technology tools and online instruction platforms to facilitate effective remote tutoring sessions. Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly to maximize learning outcomes. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement, motivation, and confidence. Communicate clearly with students and parents about progress, challenges, and next steps in the learning journey. Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student performance, and instructional plans for ongoing evaluation. Qualifications Valid NYS Teaching Certification in one or multiple subjects; multi-subject certification is highly valued. Proven experience in tutoring or teaching across diverse subjects such as mathematics, science, English language arts, or test prep. Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional adaptability to meet various learning styles. Familiarity with learning technology platforms and online instruction methods. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings; preschool or special education experience is a plus. Demonstrated classroom management skills and lesson planning expertise.
