Part-Time SHSAT Prep Tutor About Us Ai Plus is a family-run tutoring center specializing in SHSAT preparation, helping middle school students earn admission to New York City's specialized high schools. We're looking for a knowledgeable, energetic tutor to join our prep program. What You'll Do Teach small-group or classroom-style SHSAT prep sessions Deliver lessons covering English Language Arts (reading comprehension, revising/editing, text structure, grammar) and Math (algebra, absolute value/inequalities, geometry, word problems) using our prepared lesson plans and materials Administer and review practice tests, identifying student strengths and areas for improvement Track individual student progress and adjust pacing/support as needed Foster a focused, motivating environment for test prep Communicate with parents/guardians on student progress when needed What We're Looking For Strong command of middle school-level math and English/reading skills Prior experience tutoring or teaching test prep (SHSAT, SAT, ACT, or similar) strongly preferred Comfortable teaching from structured lesson plans while adapting to student needs in the moment Patient, clear communicator who can break down tricky concepts (e.g., inequalities, verb tense consistency) Reliable availability for the full course duration Bachelor's degree (in progress or completed) preferred; STEM or English background is a plus Schedules (Tutors who can do both schedules are preferred) Saturdays (9:30 AM to 4:30 PM) & Sundays (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) Sept. 5th to Nov. 15: [11]-week course (22 sessions)
