Long Island City, NY Job Details Part-time From $17 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Student mentoring Basic math Personal service experience with children Attention to detail Working with students Full Job Description Kumon Grader / Center Assistant - Part-Time We are looking for a reliable, punctual, and friendly Kumon Grader/Center Assistant who enjoys working with young children. About Kumon Kumon is an after-school learning program that helps students develop strong math and reading skills , as well as confidence, independence, and good study habits. As a center assistant, you will support students as they work through their Kumon assignments in a positive, encouraging learning environment. Qualifications Must be available to work Tuesdays from 2:30 PM-6:30 PM Must also be available on some combination of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Must be able to work at least 3 days per week Punctual, dependable, and responsible Patient and enjoys working with young children Strong attention to detail Knowledge of higher-level math is a plus Previous tutoring or experience working with children is helpful, but not required
Working Hours Tuesday:
2:30 PM-6:30
PM Thursday:
2:30 PM-6:00
PM Friday:
2:30 PM-6:30
PM Saturday:
9:00 AM-1:00 PM •The starting time can be flexible•Responsibilities Grade students' math and reading worksheets accurately Assist students with their classwork as needed Help maintain an organized and productive learning environment Provide encouragement and guidance to students Assist with other center tasks as needed This is a great part-time opportunity for a high school or college student, or anyone who enjoys working with children and education .
