We are currently looking to add in person tutors to our NYC team. We run tutoring programs inside schools, including Algebra, English, Biology, SAT, and SHSAT programs. It's ideal if the tutor also speaks Spanish or has a different second language due to the large number of our students who are multilingual. Tutoring can be during the school day, after school or on Saturdays. Opportunity to Train with the most well-known SAT tutor in the US , Katya Seberson (@katya.tutor.sat) Learn Katya's methods. Some will even have the opportunity to TA with her (paid opportunity). 10-20 hours/week. Tutor compensation starts at $50/hr. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in various subjects. Develop customized lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and needs of each student. Utilize learning technology and resources to enhance the tutoring experience. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educators regarding student performance and areas for improvement. Implement classroom management techniques to maintain an engaging and productive learning environment. Support students in building confidence and motivation towards their academic pursuits. Stay updated on educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching strategies into sessions. Experience Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred, with a focus on childcare, preschool, or adult education being advantageous. Strong skills in lesson planning and classroom management are essential. Experience working with students of various ages, including preschoolers, elementary, middle school, or adult learners. Proficiency in using learning technology to facilitate effective instruction. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and engage students. Join our team as a Tutor!
